RUMOR: Rihanna to replace Britney on X Factor?

HollywoodLife.com has learned exclusively that ‘X Factor’ producers want Rihanna on the panel — and Britney Spears is out of the running.
Could Rihanna find herself sitting pretty next to Simon Cowell this fall? An insider at The X Factor tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively that negotiations have started for the “Birthday Cake” singer to be added to the show’s illustrious panel — which is pretty vacant after Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger were fired from the show.
Our source adds that discussions for Britney Spears to also join the panel are “pretty much dead.” But that’s OK — We need Britney to focus on making new music!

Britney Spears is playing the mommy card and insisting on a no-travel clause in her contract to be a judge on “The X Factor,” Flash has learned.

Sources say the mother of two is very close to terms on money with producers who need to replace Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger for the talent show’s second season.

After demanding $20 million, and rejecting an offer of $10 million, Spears is expected to sign for between $12 million and $15 million. But there are still some sticking points.

Spears wants a limit to how much traveling she’ll have to do, similar to the deal Howard Stern worked out with “America’s Got Talent,” which moved its live shows from Los Angeles to New York to accommodate the shock jock.

Since both Britney and “The X Factor” are based in L.A., no relocations are necessary, but the show tapes auditions in several cities around the country.

The mother of Sean, 6 and James, 5, is also said to be demanding an “out clause” allowing her to quit after one season, while executive producer Simon Cowell wants a two-year commitment.

Meanwhile, we also hear George Clooney’s girlfriend Stacy Keibler, a former WWE wrestler and “Dancing with the Stars” second runner-up, is currently in talks to co-host “The X Factor” — not to be a judge.

“She knows nothing about music,” one insider said. “But she has great legs and a great smile.”

Whatever comes next for Britney will have to be planned around her wedding to Jason. The couple became engaged over the holidays after dating for over two years.

Speculation on whether or not Britney Spears will join The X Factor for its second season continues, and although Simon Cowell and L.A. Reid addressed the topic (vaguely) during a conference last month, we were still left wondering the same questions.
Until now. The Hollywood Reporter is claiming that Spears' fiancé-agent Jason Trawick is negotiating the contract, and could possibly close the deal as soon as next week.
So what's the hold up?
Money, of course.
A source confirms to E! News that both camps have "been negotiating for some time," and it seems to be mainly on dollar amounts. Our source says Britney was offered $10 million to do the show, but she's holding out for $16 million.
That's her number and she's stickin' to it.
